My understanding about APA Referencing Style 6^th Edition

1.      APA style requires double spacing

2.      The journal title and number are in italics, that is for journals, magazines, articles, newspapers in print format

3.      Use the article’s DOI (Digital Object Identifier), the unique code given by the publisher to a specific article for online journals, magazines, articles, newspapers

4.      Use the journal’s home page URL (or web address) if there is no DOI. This may require a web search to locate the journal’s home page. There is no period at the end of web address. Break a long URL before the punctuation

The difference between my plan research proposal and other example of research proposal

“IMPROVING THE STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ABILITY THROUGH SILENT WAY METHOD AT THE SECOND YEAR STUDENTS OF SMA N X BANDAR LAMPUNG” by Akhmad Amri is an example of research proposal. This is using silent way method for improving students’ speaking ability. Silent way method is a method that can encourage, and motivate students to use their English without fell of fear in making mistake. In Silent Way method, teaching learning is facilitated if the students learn based on the self correction. Therefore, this will make students independent, autonomous, and responsible. In this method, teachers have to make the students rely on themselves. The students can produce any sound and the teacher will never ask anybody else to do it for them. So, the students are hoped to be responsible for the words or utterances they are saying. Furthermore, in silent way the teacher functions as a guide, an organizer, a resource and as an evaluator (setiadi 2006:76)

Based on the example above, there is one of thing that will be different with my plan research. Although, I have similar purpose with the proposal but in my plan research proposal there will prefer to spelling games as a way for improving students’ speaking ability.
